DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT
Majic consistently ranks as one of the top-rated roofing companies in Metro-Detroit.

Majic offers two different types of roofing solutions: SBS modified roofing and asphalt roofing.

SBS Modified Roofing
SBS modified bitumen roofing material is a combination of asphalt and synthetic rubber. SBS modified roofing is more flexible and less prone to cracking, because it contains rubber. SBS roofing is sharp, beautiful, and will enhance the resale value of your home.

Asphalt Roofing
Asphalt shingles are a tried and true traditional roofing option. Majic’s asphalt shingles are built with advanced protection shingle technology. They’ll last far longer than your average asphalt shingle while also maintaining a beautiful and attractive appearance.

Fiber cement siding is composed of cement, sand, and cellulose fiber. The composition provides outstanding durability and dimensional stability. No other type of siding is able to endure rain, ice, heat, snow, and wind as well as fiber cement siding. James Hardie siding is so strong that it can even be installed to resist hurricane-force winds. Moreover, James Hardie siding is built to be more resistant to fire and pest damage than other types of siding.
Signs You Need A New Roof
There are a few different signs that indicate it’s time for a new roof. Some signs are more obvious than others. Signs your roof needs to be replaced include:
- Cracks, stains, or streaks in the attic
- Cracked, damaged, or buckled shingles
- Damaged flashing
- Drooping or sagging in the roof
- Growth of mold or fungi on the roof
If any of these signs are present on your roof, you should speak with our roofing professionals about installing a new roof. Any existing issues will only get worse over time and the longer you wait, the more expensive repairs will be.
Should You Re-Roof or Tear Off The Old Roof?
Many homeowners often want to try to re-roof over old shingles to save time and money. We would not advise re-roofing over old shingles, because two layers of shingles can hold both heat and moisture. Trapping heat and moisture can increase your cooling costs in the summer while also reducing the lifespan of your new shingles. We always recommend tearing the old roof off to be able to thoroughly inspect the structure for issues before installing a new roof.
